The BIG Picture

The Lord has blessed me with many talents and the painting trade is one of them. I use these gifts to provide for my family and ministries. My wife and I have 2 wonderful daughters – Katie and Maren.

As an Ordained Lutheran Pastor – some folks find it strange that I am coating floors and not serving in a church. Well, our church is outside of the four walls of a physical church and with those in the greatest need. In fact, you will find us on the corner of Franklin Ave. and 13th St. in the Inner-City of Minneapolis doing our outreach on Saturdays. Our inner-city outreach provides food and clothing to the poor and homeless in that area. We have been partnering with churches for over 8 years to make sure that that corner is providing for those in need each Saturday.

We also run and set-up food shelves (www.foodshelf.org) in local churches and communities. There is a great need right now and the shelves are always busy.

In addition, we have a Family Counseling Center (www.htmcounseling.org) in Lakeville. We meet with struggling families and individuals on a sliding scale basis. We combine counseling with coaching to assist people in reaching their goals.

This is the BIG picture for us. We do not do this to drive fancy trucks (you’ll see my 1994 Eagle Summit) but rather give back to the Lord for the things He has first given us.

Here is a list of the ministries where I am serving:

Our ministry statement: Serving the least, last, lonely and helping you to do the same.

Based on these verses:

Matthew 25:34-40 “…For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me… What you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me..”
